Finally after a few years, I thought it’s time to buy a smart phone. This call can be pretty tricky and confusing. Fortunately, there was no confusion about carrier, AT&T being the obvious choice. So I was down to Motorola Atrix or HTC Inspire. Both have their highs and lows, I am going for Motorola Atrix though. Some reasons – dual core processor, 1GB RAM, front camera & a promising gaming experience! This 4-inch device is closest to a computer in terms of processing power.
Coming to the topic of the post, I figured AT&T is selling Atrix for $199.99 where as Amazon Wireless is selling the same for $99.99. Surprised? I was too… Have also been a huge Amazon fan so didn’t think they would compromise on the quality of HS. Was curious though. Here’s the catch (or not really). If you buy a phone from Amazon Wireless, there is an additional 6-month service agreement. If you happen to discontinue service within 6 months, then apart from AT&T’s penalty, you would also have to pay a $250 penalty to Amazon. But when you buy a smart phone, you would most likely use it for than 6 months. Amazon Rocks!!!
Eagerly awaiting arrival of the phone…
